In May 1883, Lemual Pratt Grant submitted a hand-written deed to city leaders which outlined the donation of 100 acres of his land to be utilized for a pulbic park for "all Atlantans". 2010 marks the 127th birthday of L.P. Grant Park and the Grant Park Conservancy is working on a series of activities to celebrate this historic landscape. Over the years, tens of millions of visitors have enjoyed its rolling topography, beautiful shade trees, spring flowers, walking trails, history and man-made amenities. We celebrate each year and encourage you to celebrate with us.
