The Grant Park Conservancy is proud to be a "Preservation Partner" with the Atlanta Preservation Centers' " 7th Annual Phoenix Flies - A Citywide Celebration of Living Landmarks" (March 6-22, 2010) (www.preservaneatlanta.com) and is pleased to offer a series of walking tours and activities to help you understand and learn more about Atlanta's oldest public park.

Our Fort Walker Walkng Tour will focus on how and why a fort, built to defend the city from Sherman's advancing troups, came to be situated in Grant Park.

There is no charge for our special tours but we will not discourage donations.

Parking is free.  The tour begins on the traffic circle adjacent to the Atlanta Cyclorama (mapquest: 800 Cherokee Avenue, Atlanta 30315)  Reservations are encouraged.
