Our First Saturday Work Day program continues - warm weather, cold weather, cool weather - the work to maintain the park does not end.  Your help is needed.  We will meet on the traffic circle adjacent to the Cyclorama at 9:00 a.m.  Tools, gloves and water provided.  For more information 404-521-0938.  GROUPS:  Please call in advance to allow us to help us make sure we have enough tools.

LAST STAND - June 7 - August 31

The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs public art program presents: A (new) Genre Landscape, curator Stuart Keeler.

The "last stand collaborative"  Coby Cranman, Julie Newton, Raymondo Vaughn and Martha Whittington

Opening Performance - June 7th at 5:00 p.m.

Featuring an orginal requiem composed by Coby Cranman in response to old growth trees in Atlanta lost to development.

You are invited to visit Grant Park and make music together on these twelve, temporary, custom-fitted, stringed tree instruments  Other performance dates June 10 6pm adn June 21 10am.  Located on the deeply shaded pedestrian-way just north of the Cyclorama.

Members of the media and special guests will learn about the upcoming Summer Shade Fesitval and its focus on the 125th birthday of the park.  To be held at the Atlanta Brewing Company.

Members of the New Generation Youth Choir, visiting our city from Tennessee will spend a few hours in the park to help keep it clean and green.

Due to the July 4rh holiday weekend there will not be a First Saturday Work Day for July.  However, you can plan on joining us on August 2  9a-12p as the First Saturday Work Days resume.

The Conservancy will sponsor a Happy Birthday Grant Park float in the annual PRIDE float.  Thousands of spectators enjoyed our float entry in the Inman Park Festival Parade in April and now, we move on to PRIDE with more than 100,000 spectators along the parade route.  Join in the fun.
